Keep the Pool in Town!

Keep Pool in Town. Petition to Shropshire Council.

A Town Centre pool is the jewel in the crown of Shrewsbury's leisure facilities, situated right at the heart of Shrewsbury.

Whilst there are many improvements that could be made to the pool, residents have been very clear with Shropshire Council over many years that the facility is highly valuable and must remain open.

Shropshire Council's September meeting contained yet another paper suggesting swimming facilities in Shrewsbury could be moved away from the Quarry at great expense, earmarking £27 million of largely-borrowed money to such a project.

This petition is by Liberal Democrat councillors to show the strength of local opinion on keeping a swimming facility in town.

Keep the Quarry Pool open!

We the undersigned make clear our objection to any plans that may bring about the closure of the Quarry Pool.
